3 men in a boat and river cruises
This event takes place on the Thames near London between Walton-on-Thames and up river to Windsor, Marlow and beyond following the route of the '3 men in a boat' novel by Jerome K Jerome. We use exact replicas of the wooden skiff used by the author, George, Harris and Montmorency the dog. Boaters and blazers are optional. Larger historical reproductions are also available.

This event can be run over 1 to 5 days and with between 3 to 21 people This experience is ideal for teambuilding as it requires good communication and teamwork to row these craft successfully. Typically two men row and one man acts as cox, team leader and navigator. A treasure hunt can be introduced into the event and later in the day, once the rowing skills have been developed, a timed course can be planned. A support boat will follow the crews to provide refreshments and advice. Maps and points of interest are provided to each skiff along with some relevant passages from the '3 men in a boat' text. Catering can be provided either as an open-air hamper buffet or at one of the many restaurants / hotels on the riverside. The event can be rounded off with a debriefing, prizegiving and celebratory drink in a local hostelry. The crews will gain experience in launching the craft, mooring, safety considerations on the river and most of all how to work as a team.
1 DAY EVENT------- 3 DAY EVENT
The day starts in Walton-on-Thames with breakfast being taken either al fresco with croissants and orange juice by the river, or sitting inside one of the local riverside hostelries. The boats are launched and some initialAgain starting at Walton-on-Thames this journey will allow us to follow the route of Jerome ending up in Marlow(subject to effort!). The route can be planned with lunch stops and overnight accommodation at each stop either under canvas or in a local pub or hotel. The schedule will be planned to the strengths and preference of the crew.

You just can't beat a party cruise on the river Thames. As an excellent "all-rounder", this package really lends itself well to any function where a disco party atmosphere is required. This makes a great evening's entertainment following a company conference, staff reward or just a fun day out.
